The Fifth Room

1. About Us

The Fifth Room is a membership community for women, operated by The Fifth Room Organisation Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17252534 ("we", "us", "our"). Our registered office address is available via Companies House (find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk).

By creating an account and becoming a member, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

2. Membership

  • Membership is open to individuals who register and pay the applicable membership fee.
  • We currently offer three membership tiers: Rising, Elevate, and Beyond, each with different pricing and benefits as described on our website.
  • Membership benefits, event access, and partner offers may change from time to time; we'll do our best to notify members of material changes.

3. Fees and Payment

  • Membership fees are payable annually in advance, via the payment method provided at signup.
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or at our discretion.
  • We reserve the right to change membership fees for future renewal periods, with reasonable notice.

4. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting team@thefifthroom.ai or via your account settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid membership period; we do not provide pro-rated refunds for early cancellation.

5. Events

  • Access to member events depends on your membership tier.
  • Some events may involve third-party venues or partners; your conduct at events is expected to be respectful and in line with our community values.
  • We reserve the right to record events (e.g. photography) for promotional purposes; where practical, we'll let you know in advance and you can opt out of being featured.

6. Partner Offers

  • From time to time, we may make available offers or discounts from partner organisations.
  • These offers are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms; The Fifth Room is not responsible for the fulfilment or quality of third-party offers.
  • Your data will only be shared with a partner where you've explicitly opted in to that specific offer.

7. Community Conduct

We're building a supportive community. Members are expected to:

  • Treat other members, staff, partners, and speakers with respect
  • Not use the community for unsolicited commercial solicitation without permission
  • Not share private community content (e.g. member-only newsletters, event details) publicly without consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership, without refund, for conduct that violates these expectations or is otherwise harmful to the community.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and in our communications (branding, written content, event materials) is owned by The Fifth Room or its licensors, unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or distribute this content without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • We provide the membership and events "as is" and do not guarantee uninterrupted access or specific outcomes from participation.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your membership.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of your membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
